Frequently asked questions

Weather isn't loading for my location

Weatherball needs location access to show weather where you are. Check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services and make sure Location Services is on and Weatherball is set to "While Using the App." Also confirm your device has an internet connection, then reopen the app.

I'm not getting weather notifications

Make sure notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → Notifications → Weatherball, and that alerts are turned on inside the app's settings. Weatherball schedules alerts based on the forecast for your active weather location, so location access also needs to be enabled.

How do I restore a subscription I already purchased?

Open Weatherball's settings and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Restoring re-links your existing subscription at no additional charge.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through Apple, so they're managed in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Weatherball. From there you can change your plan or cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

My widget or Apple Watch complication is out of date

Widgets and watch complications refresh on a schedule set by the system to save battery, so they can lag a little behind the app. Opening the main app updates the shared data. If a widget still looks stuck, try removing and re-adding it.

Can I change the units (°F/°C, mph/km/h)?

Yes — open Weatherball's settings to choose your preferred temperature and speed units. Your choice syncs across the app, widgets, and the watch app.

Which teams and leagues are supported?

Supported leagues are shown in the app when you add a team. We add coverage over time — if a team or league you want is missing, let us know by email.
